A spinning addict turned instructor, Virginia has always loved the intensity of indoor cycling. She values that no matter your athletic ability, experience on the bike, or overall fitness level, anyone and everyone can come together to benefit from this high-energy workout. Having taught in New York City, Virginia only discovered the Real Ryder bikes upon moving to Connecticut, and she immediately fell in love. Now, as an instructor at Life Cycle, she’s using her same dynamic, music-driven style of coaching to provide her classes with massive amounts of fun and sweat! When Virginia isn’t wandering the fitness rooms of Life Cycle, she’s a freelance writer/producer for television networks and branding agencies. And before you ask… no, Virginia is not from Virginia, but she is probably the proudest Southern girl you’ll ever meet. Hailing from Kentucky, she loves bourbon, horses, and Kentucky basketball. So don’t be shy, y’all! Make sure to come out for a class with Virginia!

Polina, a native Latvian, grew up in Germany where she she was introduced to fitness and physical activity by her father, a Latvian and German champion in track & field. She did not find traditional track & field activities exciting but when she was introduced to Capoeira - a Brazilian martial art combined with dance and gymnastics - her passion awakened. The challenge of strength, balance, flexibility and coordination combined excited her most - especially though the challenging practice of inversions. This passion lead her to discover another fun way to move and learn control over her body after moving to the US in 2010; pole fitness. She started as a student at Vertical Addiction in Stamford and now shares her passion for pole as a teacher there. In 2015, Polina discovered the physical and spiritual benefits of Yoga, which help gain flexibility for her Capoeira and pole practice. We are thrilled to have her teaching flexibility classes at Life Cycle.

RYT 200, Caroline was first attracted to the physical aspect of yoga in 2009. Along her journey, she received so much more than just a workout. In time, yoga became a part of Caroline’s daily routine. Through the practice of asana, she learned to be present and enjoy being in the moment. She learned determination and she learned forgiveness. She learned to let go of what doesn’t serve her and made the decision to leave the entertainment industry after 10 years. Yoga has given her not only physical strength, but also the mental strength to discover her passions.

In 2015, Caroline received her 200 HR Teaching Certification from YogaWorks, NY studying with Jodie Rufty. She is currently back in school working towards her 2nd career as an Occupational Therapist.

Her classes balance precise instruction and flowing movement aligned with breath. She hopes to encourage her students to have fun and enjoy the journey of yoga wherever it may lead.

Charlotte studied Interdisciplinary Yoga and Pranassage at the Nosara Yoga Institute Costa Rica where she got her 300hr certification. As a Nosara Yoga Teacher, she is a yogi who is forever learning and applying the knowledge to her daily life and to her yoga teaching. She stands in what she knows and offers that to others, not as the final authority or Truth, but as the experience. She asks her students to experiment with her teachings; connecting breath with movement, using assists, and fun techniques combined with meditation to enhance relaxation and overall results which she finds to tap into the multidimensional self and awareness of consciousness. Charlotte has also been a licensed massage therapist since 2007, specializing in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, and Trigger point therapy. Her latest venture has been into the world of Mommy and Me Yoga where she gives new mommies a special opportunity to bond with their babies, while both helping the babies stretch and learn techniques to help stimulate their systems and helping mom tighten up and regain strength and muscle control post pregnancy. She is forever curious to know other perspectives, enjoys being the student of many different traditions or disciplines and is curious and fascinated with the cutting edge sciences from medicine to quantum physics, from neurobiology to psychoemotional psychology.
