Functional Training

Functional Training helps provide you with the strength, stability, power, mobility, endurance and flexibility that you need to thrive as you move through your life. You use basic functional movement patterns like pushing, pulling, hinging, squatting, rotating, carrying and gait patterns (walking and running) every day. Functional Training utilizes exercises that improve your movement proficiency in these primary patterns to give you an edge and enhance your performance, so that you can achieve your goals safely and with good health.

LifeBuild + Core

Whether your goals are to shape up your six-pack, turn sharper in a RealRyde, or simply improve your posture, you have to start with the middle! In this core-focused class, we will get that heart rate up and those abs shaking with the help of your body weight and the TRX system. All levels are welcome to enjoy the burn.


LifeBuild + Upper
Shoulders, back, biceps, triceps - it’s all covered in this class! Using the TRX straps, you’ll push, pull, and hang your way to a toned upper body. Supplement your Life Cycle Signature classes with this training for a full-body pay-off. All levels are welcome to enjoy the flex.


LifeBuild + Lower
Get ready to get low! This booty-burning, leg-leaning class will challenge you from the waist down using the TRX system and your own body weight. Want to be able to attack that hill in your next Life Cycle Signature class? Or maybe you just want to stretch your legs from sitting at a desk all day? Whatever it is, this class will kick it into gear. All levels are welcome to enjoy the butt-kicking.

Who Teaches Class?

A spinning addict turned instructor, Virginia has always loved the intensity of indoor cycling. She values that no matter your athletic ability, experience on the bike, or overall fitness level, anyone and everyone can come together to benefit from this high-energy workout. Having taught in New York City, Virginia only discovered the Real Ryder bikes upon moving to Connecticut, and she immediately fell in love. Now, as an instructor at Life Cycle, she’s using her same dynamic, music-driven style of coaching to provide her classes with massive amounts of fun and sweat! When Virginia isn’t wandering the fitness rooms of Life Cycle, she’s a freelance writer/producer for television networks and branding agencies. And before you ask… no, Virginia is not from Virginia, but she is probably the proudest Southern girl you’ll ever meet. Hailing from Kentucky, she loves bourbon, horses, and Kentucky basketball. So don’t be shy, y’all! Make sure to come out for a class with Virginia!

Founder/Instructor: Golnar Sharafsaleh has over 7 years of experience in the fitness industry and holds several national certifications. Her passion for indoor cycling started over 10 years ago. After dealing with several medical issues and undergoing numerous surgeries over the years, she has always used indoor cycling to recover and rebuild her strength. Her passion is to train and work with cancer survivors. She believes that the impossible is always possible and sometimes you just need to borrow a little strength from those around you. Her vision for LIfeCycle is to build a community where everyone feels empowered and can find a purpose in the moment. She believes if you can find purpose in every moment, you will eventually find the "why" in the fight to survive.

Jacque Sanchez has been a fitness enthusiast for most of her adult life. She has trained for long distance runs, completing multiple half marathons and one full marathon. In addition to running, Jacque has competed in CrossFit competitions as well as multiple Spartan and Tough Mudder races. Most recently Jacque has become an Online Wellness Coach and Insanity Live Instructor. Jacque battled weight issues much of her childhood. She lost 85lbs eating a clean, healthy diet and incorporating exercise into her daily life. The lifestyle change has had such a positive impact on so many aspects of her life that she became passionate about helping others transform their lives through diet and exercise too. Jacque believes we all have the power within us to rise above any situation or struggle and transform into the brightest, strongest, version of ourselves possible!
